Just Who is Deserving of Our Worship? The Lamb (There was no man*)
by Carl Felland and Family

Rev. 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Yahudah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to Elohim by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our Elohim kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four [and] twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

This beautiful passage in Revelation is foretold in the Tenach.

Gen. 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, Elohim will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Isa. 43:10-11 You are my witnesses, says YHWH; and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no elohim formed; neither shall any be after Me. I, I am YHWH; and there is no Savior besides Me.

Isa. 59:16 And he saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore his arm brought salvation unto him and his righteousness sustained him.

The Apostles testified of His coming.

John 1:29 The next day Yohanan [John] seeth Y'shua coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of Elohim, which taketh away the sin of the world.

John 9:35-38 Y'shua heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of Elohim? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Y'shua said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

The heavenly vision in Revelation 5 is the fulfillment of the Scriptures. We read in Rev. 5:6 of the Father's throne. That throne was identified in Rev 3:21 by Y'shua when He said "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." We saw in Rev. 5:8 that the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb.

In Rev. 5:13 "him that sitteth upon the throne," and "the Lamb" receive worship together. And in Rev. 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four [and] twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Who are they worshipping who "liveth for ever and ever?" Y'shua testified that He is seated with his Father in this throne. He is being worshipped. The only one deserving worship is YHWH! Y'shua accepted worship from the formally blind man and from the hosts in heaven; He is the son of YHWH.

I'd ask that you read all of John's testimony to see the significance of this. In John 14:12-14, Y'shua promises to do whatever is asked in his name. It would be impossible for anyone but the Almighty to do this because, as a man he would not have the authority (or the ability) to do so. Verses 15 - 18 also point out that he comes to us as the Set Apart Spirit."

John identifies Y'shua as Elohim. We also know He is at least an Elohim because so many worship him. Ex. 23:13 commands us not to mention the names of other Elohim (than YHWH). The very fact that Y'shua told us to pray in his name proves that we should mention his name. Since the names of other gods may not be mentioned, it follows that Y'shua is the Son of YHWH.

One passage stands out to me. 1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of Elohim: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of Elohim: Every spirit that confesseth that Y'shua Messiah is come in the flesh is of Elohim: And every spirit that confesseth not that Y'shua Messiah is come in the flesh is not of Elohim: and this is that [spirit] of anti-Messiah, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

When I read this passage in light of Y'shua being the Son of YHWH, it becomes clear. A vast majority of people acknowledge Y'shua as a human being, as opposed to a spirit being; few acknowledge Him as the only begotten Son of YHWH, with YHWH's name.

The Father sent his Son to redeem His Creation. Man rebels, finding it easier to deal with a Spirit Being, than with One who became flesh. However, that rebellion will be put down. Man will be judged by a man, by the Son of YHWH in the flesh. It is only right.

Psalm 37:28 For the YHWH loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Psalm 76:9 When Elohim arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah

Psalm 143:2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

Pro. 20:8 A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.

Isa. 59:15-16 Yea, truth faileth; and he [that] departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the YHWH saw[it], and it displeased him that [there was] no judgment. And he saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore his arm brought salvation unto him and his righteousness sustained him.

Zec. 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, YHWH of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

The hope of many is in salvation through a man somehow deputized by Elohim. Some say He is a second person in a Trinity. Others say he was an angel or other created being. Still others that he was a man filled with the Spirit. Those "Jesus's" can become idols. The Lamb, the Lion of Yahudah, the King of kings, He is to be worshipped!

The Pharisees, who were rightly attempting to guard the Torah, could not agree with Y'shua receiving the formally blind man's worship. Y'shua rebuked them. And Y'shua said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And [some] of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Y'shua said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth (Yoh. 9:39-41).

In our quest to embrace the Tenach, please, let's not fall into the trap into which the Pharisees fell. Yohanan stated, Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father (1 John 2:23).

How was YHWH revealed to us as a man? He had to be born of a young woman. He had to come at the right time in the right family. He had to be pointed out, not by himself, but by witnesses.

He had to carry the anointing of the Eternal One. He had to intercede. He had to become the perfect sacrifice. He had to overcome death. There was no man!

In closing, let us examine the Psalmist's riddle. Can you see the answer?

Psalm 49:1 [[To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.]] Hear this, all [ye] people; give ear, all [ye] inhabitants of the world:
2 Both low and high, rich and poor, together.
3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart [shall be] of understanding.
4 I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
5 Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, [when] the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
7 None [of them] can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to Elohim a ransom for him:
8 (For the redemption of their soul [is] precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
9 That he should still live for ever, [and] not see corruption.
10 For he seeth [that] wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
11 Their inward thought [is, that] their houses [shall continue] for ever, [and] their dwelling places to all generations; they call [their] lands after their own names.
12 Nevertheless man [being] in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts [that] perish.
13 This their way [is] their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.
14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
15 But Elohim will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
16 Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
17 For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
18 Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and [men] will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.
19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
20 Man [that is] in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts [that] perish.
